Archivio de Indias
The General Archive of the Indies, the former merchant exchange, was built in 1572, designed by Juan de Herrera and built by Alonso de Vandelviva and Juan de Minjares. A century later, when Charles III installed the headquarters of the General Archive of the Indies in this building, other works were carried out, such as the redecoration of the main staircase. It is a square-plan construction with a large central courtyard. The Cathedral
It is built in the Gothic style and covers over 11,000 square meters, making it the third largest church in the world.
